Scientific information

All the abstracts selected for the 26th Congress of EATB are published in the Abstracts Book, which will be included in the congress bag.

Abstracts selected for “Oral presentation” will be presented during the Sessions as indicated in the programme.
The time allocated for each presentation is 10 minutes in total.

The Poster Sessions are an important educational event at this meeting. Please support and focus on these scientific presentations. All posters are located on the 1st Floor, by the foyer, of the congress venue.
Poster boards will be displayed over two days.

Presenters are able to set up their posters  as follow:
Wednesday, October 18, 2017     hrs. 12:00-18:00
Thursday, October 19, 2017         hrs.    7:30-9:00

Presenters are requested to stand by their posters during the lunch  on Thursday, October 19, 2017 hrs. 14:00-14:45  for informal discussions.
Posters should be removed after on Friday, October 20, 2017 -  hrs. 18:00 after the conclusion of the 26th EATB Congress.

Your poster board area is 110 cm in height by 80 cm in width
Please note: these are portrait, not landscape setups. Authors will be responsible for placing their poster on the boards. Any poster not collected by the author, at the due time, will be discarded.

All presenters (ORAL and POSTER) must register for the Congress.

For Invited Speakers there is a dedicated counter, located in the Registration Area, on the ground floor of the BW Premier BHR Treviso Hotel. Our staff is available for any information.

All speakers have to check into the Preview Room at least three hours in advance to download their presentation onto the central computer. The Preview Room is located on the 1st Floor. The Preview Room is open at the following times:

Wednesday, October 18th   12:00 - 18:00
Thursday, October 19th      08:00 - 18:00
Friday, October 20th           08:00 - 18:00

If using a PowerPoint presentation (or any other PC based application), please note you need to bring it on USB Memory stick or CD/DVD and load it on one of the Congress computers in the PRE VIEW ROOM   at least 2 hours before the start of the session.
Please note that the Congress computers in the room sessions halls are being supplied with Office 2013 (at least).
If combining video films with PowerPoint, please make sure to check it in the session hall where your lecture is taking place during a coffee or lunch break prior to your session - even after checking it in the PRE VIEW ROOM.
Alternatively you may supply your own laptop computer. In such a case please confirm that it has a VGA socket for external signal and come to check it first in the PRE VIEW ROOM as soon as you, at least 2 hours  before the start of the session.

Important note for Macintosh users
In order to use MAC presentations on a PC compatible computer please note that you need to prepare it according to the instructions below, before bringing it to the PRE VIEW ROOM:
1. Use a common font, such as Arial, Times New Roman, Verdana etc. (special fonts might be changed to a default font on a PowerPoint based PC).
2. Insert pictures as JPG files (and not TIF, PNG or PICT - these images will not be visible on a PowerPoint based PC).
Alternatively you may use your own Macintosh laptop computer. In such a case please confirm you provide it with a VGA adaptor for external signal, advise the operators in the Speakers' Ready Room about it as soon as you arrive and later on test it in the session hall where your lecture is taking place during the coffee or lunch break prior to your session, at least 30 minutes before the start of the session.


The Best ORAL & POSTER AWARDS will be announced  and awarded during the CLOSING REMARKS & AWARDS Session, on Friday, October 20, 2017 – hrs. 16:40-17:00
